IC Project is developed and maintained by a Consortium of IT firms and Research Institutions based in Turin - Italy:
Envisens Technologies s.r.l. , synArea Consultants s.r.l. , Sofiha Collaudi s.r.l , Istituto Superiore Mario Boella , Centro Conservazione e Restauro "La Venaria Reale".

Envisens Technologies s.r.l.

image Envisens Technologies s.r.l. (EST) has been established in 2006 as a spin-off of Politecnico di Torino. Associates inherit experience in academic and applied research of the Remote Sensing Group leaded by Prof. Giovanni Perona at Politecnico di Torino.
Envisens Technologies operates in innovative technological solution engineering in the framework of environmental and safety applications, with particular focus on sensors and simulations, including prototipation and production of small series. EST provides also traininig for its products and services, redaction of engineering projects, managing and maintenance of technological plants connected with its activities.

SynArea Consultants s.r.l.

image SynArea is a software consulting firm and leader of SynArea Group. For over 25 years SynArea has developed distributed information systems to improve the efficiency of business processes, with both intranet-extranet and client-server technology.
In recent years SynArea has invested heavily in R&D activities and owns an innovative multimedia software platform called 3DoorsFramework, a framework to create applications for interactive 3D real-time (VR/AR) explorable scenarios, simulation, previs, marketing support, edutainment and training. SynArea collaborates with several Research and Education Institutions that have a key role in innovation research, such as Università degli Studi di Torino and Politecnico di Torino.

SO.FI.HA Collaudi s.r.l.

image For over twenty years SO.FI.HA Collaudi is on the market as a provider of technology services. An highly qualified team make SO.FI.HA Collaudi highly competitive in different sectors: Photovoltaic Systems, Mobile Software Development, Geothermal Systems Technology, Industrial Cartography.
SO.FI.HA Collaudi works on emerging areas such as energy and heat production plants based on renewable sources (solar and geothermal), development of software for mobile devices (handhelds / PDAs and phones), application of digital maps in real 3D virtual navigation and editorial projects.

Istituto Superiore Mario Boella

image Istituto Superiore Mario Boella (ISMB) is a research & innovation center operating in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) domain. Founded in 2000 by Compagnia di San Paolo and Politecnico di Torino, today ISMB relies on the technological and process competences of around 150 researchers working in close cooperation with companies, academia and Public Administration. ISMB operates according to the knowledge management model: this means that it plays an active role not only in devising innovative solutions, but also in their implementation and consequent developments. This approach represents a step forward with respect to technology transfer, and in this sense the evolutionary lines of European research are taken into account.
ISMB is organized in Research Areas focused on core sectors of ICT. Satellite navigation systems (Navigation Technologies), wireless sensor networks and pervasive systems (Pervasive Technologies), broadband communications and electromagnetic simulation (Multi-Layer Wireless Solutions), optical fibers (Photonics), cloud computing and applications for mobile devices (Information System Architectures & SW Technologies) and new paradigms for Information Management and Innovation Development.
Since 2010, ten years after its foundation, ISMB has extended its activities to process innovation, orienting its focus on priority themes of the European agenda. Such an evolution aims at exploiting excellences and results obtained by Research Areas into Strategic Programs that are interdisciplinary by nature. Smart Energy, Smart City and Smart Health are the strategic programs tackled by ISMB, representing the first step of a broader action aimed at high-value social projects.
Consistently with process innovation goals, the Institute has developed a strong competence in new business models that are a necessary component for the economic sustainability of innovative solutions. Moreover, the Institute is involved in several industrial cooperation activities with both large enterprises and SMEs, as well as in various higher-education initiatives in partnership with academic institutions.

Centro Conservazione e Restauro "La Venaria Reale"

image Centro Conservazione e Restauro "La Venaria Reale" (CCR) is an Higher Education and Research Center for Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage.
It operates preservation and restoration in relation to interdisciplinary programs of research and education, jointly by the School of Higher Education (SAF), by the Restoration Scientific and Imaging Laboratories, and the Documentation Centre which are involved in a renewal process for the Cultural Heritage preservation. The CCR is a non-profit foundation, acting on behalf of: Regional Public Institutions (Regions, Provinces, Municipalities), Museums, Foundations and Research Institutions.
Scientific and Imaging Laboratory implements advanced technological tools for diagnostics and 3D survey within processes of study and research on Cultural Heritage. Data are collected, processed and embedded in multimedia applications.
The SAF offers a degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, in collaboration with the University of Turin, postgraduate and professional courses, a specialized library.
Laboratories elaborate issues of restoration, preservation and subsidiary maintenance of works and artifacts of art, engage in diagnostic, technical and scientific popularization to public and private restoration laboratories, research and development on methods and materials for preservation. The Imaging Laboratory develops multimedia projects.
